Michał Balas, cello was born in 2001, and is a student of Musik Akademie Basel. An international competition winner – 1st Prize and a Special Prize Johansen International Competition for Young String Players in Washington (2018); Grand Prix at “Dominik Połoński Cello Competition” in Łódź, Poland (2021), and mostly recently the 1st Prize at Classic Strings International Cello Competition in Dubai 2022 – with a concert tour prize consisting of 10 solo performances in prestigious concert halls across Europe.
In 2022 he was nominated by the Polish National Institute of Music and Dance for the Award „Corypheus of Polish Music”. He performed with symphony and chamber orchestras, such as: Sinfonia Iuventus, Apollo Orchestra, Südwestdeutsches Kammerorchester Pforzheim, Armenian State Symphony orchestra, North Czech Philharmonic orchestra, to name a few.
Mikołaj Woźniak, piano was born in Poland and is studying at Musik Akademie Basel in the class of professor Claudio Martinez Mehner. Mikołaj has won numerous competitions and has already performed in renowned concert halls such as the Cairo Opera Concert Hall, the Konzerthalle in Frankfurt-am-Oder, Penderecki Concert Hall in Lusławice, Wroclaw Philharmonic, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
